In the years before electric bikes became popular, Rad Power Bikes’ client started building them. Word of mouth, they were the first-of-its-kind creators. Environmental revolutionaries without ever having a single slapping photograph of their beautiful machine without a rebrand, no fabricated storyline, just a teenage tinkerer who made ebikes for a California neighborhood.
In person, the bike looked ten times more stunning than online, and the working landing page didn’t match the aesthetic. The bikes sold themselves word of mouth—no digital touchpoint—after people waltzed into stores and left with them. Now that the world was starting to care, Now client made the decision to build a world around the most uncool thing in our sphere, reflecting on your footprint as a patron of the earth, now that the world was starting to care.
The e-comm experience will not only simplify the shopping experience for the most tailor-made e-bike on the market, but will also provide an opportunity for brands that are leading the way in reshaping e-transport to give their brand a voice worth listening to.

A Rad Power Bikes bike is the highest caliber machine it lives up to today because of its dedication to perfection and years of experience. It takes hard work, attention to detail, and years of experience for Rad Power Bikes to achieve such an elegant design. To articulate that story, we used design philosophy: intricate parts that encompass a greater, more realized whole.
Purpose-driven product utility.
Our goal was to create a canvas for users to just naturally explore, but as we matched their lifestyle to their frame type, we found a more refined layout and journey that helped them achieve their dream bike.
Unique Checkout Experience
In order to let each journey be personal, we wanted to allow for unique checkout flows depending on the level of interest or depth in the experience of each user. This resulted in ‘Customize My Own,’ which allows users to find their fit while customizing their own frame, then check out seamlessly—all within one intuitive experience.

With each bike having a working, pastoral spirit, as well as a natural fervor in its design, it is all the more fitting that lifestyle benefits are included within the model.
While we knew the product had to be shoppable, we found making the brand’s ethos palpable made the product more distinguishable and more tangible.
It was important to highlight that while the bike looked readymade, it was actually so custom and tailor-made that you could customize it to meet your needs.
Additionally, design managed to achieve a double mission: making it easy for you to find what fits you best, and allowing you to visualize yourself riding an ebike one day.
