WooCommerce store with bike configurator

The Swedish brand is a lifestyle and bicycle brand with a mission.

The philosophy brand creates bicycles and accessories that are thoughtfully designed, while also supporting women’s education in developing countries. For every bike purchased, they donate another one to a schoolgirl. A few of their bikes are made from recycled coffee capsules, balancing the environmental impact of their products.

The founder of Philosophy wanted a new, fresh website to showcase and sell their bikes. He wanted the new site to be easy to navigate, find, and use, and to be an improvement over the previous one. Since we’ve worked on a few of his agency projects, we were the first choice of his.

Development

Our team consisted of two WooCommerce Developers and a Project Manager. The development process took 3 months. The backend and frontend were built, and we made two main customizations.

Bike configurator

On every bike’s individual product page, you can configure the colors, and the bike previews will update in real-time. Once you click Add to Cart, the pre-configured bike will be added to your cart.

Custom AJAX cart

A user can navigate the dynamic sidebar cart and view its content along with fine details without leaving the page they are browsing. The user can update their order and seamlessly complete the checkout process.

The result

We continue to update the store and add small additions, to ensure that visitors always see the best possible version of the site. Once the new site was launched in 2019 it was met with a positive reception both from the client and the users.
